My New FAV Turkey Meatball Recipe

Recently on Instagram, I had seen some posts on some amazing looking meatball recipes. I have never made my own meatballs before, so I decided to give it a try, and I’m so happy I did, because they turned out amazing!!! So of course, I wanted to share this recipe with you all! 🙂

I pretty much followed a recipe from a blog I found on Pinterest (He and She Eat Clean: Clean Eating Power Meatballs), and made a few tweaks of my own :

Ingredients:

1 1/2 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp dried basil
1 tsp dried oregano
1 tsp onion powder
1/2 tsp sea salt (i used pink himalayan salt)
1/2 tsp red pepper flakes (i added a little bit more for an extra kick!)
1/2 c rolled oats (I used Bob’s Red Mill Gluten Free rolled oats)
1 egg (beaten first)
1 tbspn of organic ketchup (I’m also thinking of adding a tbsn of sriracha next time!)
16 oz. lean ground turkey (you can sub this for lean ground beef or ground chicken)

Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees F.
2. Mix all ingredients in a bowl (using your hands is best to really get it all mixed together)
3. Shape mixture into 1″ round meatballs and place on baking sheet or in baking pan – I made about 16 meatballs.
4. Bake 23 minutes.
5. Enjoy!!! 🙂
